Adria cancels Sharm El Sheikh flights

Monday, November 9, 2015

Adria Airways cancelled its charter flight from Ljubljana to the Egyptian holiday resort of Sharm El Sheikh over the weekend, after a Russian airliner carrying 224 people crashed in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on October 31, killing all on board. While there is still no official conclusion or consensus on what shattered the plane, mounting evidence shows that an explosive device was placed on board by an employee at Sharm El Sheikh Airport. Adria's service to Sharm El Sheikh was to continue on to Hurghada. "Adria will continue to monitor all available information in the coming days in order to take appropriate action in regards to future flights to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada", Adria said in a statement.
