Air Europa adds Belgrade and Skopje codeshare

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

Spain's third largest airline, Air Europa, has added its flight numbers and "UX" designator code on a number of Alitalia's services, including Belgrade and Skopje. The Spanish airline will codeshare on Alitalia's flights from Rome to both the Serbian and Macedonian capitals. They are among the 25 codeshare routes Air Europa has added through the expanded partnership with the Italian airline which came into effect on October 27.

I would say Air Europa has lots of chances of ending up as another partially Etihad owned airline.
Anyway, I would love that either UX or IB would resume service between MAD and BEG filling the void that JK left.
