Air France and KLM plan to boost capacity on their respective services to Zagreb. From April 4, 2016, the French national carrier will upgrade equipment on its daily flight from Paris to the Croatian capital from a 100-seat Embraer E190 jet to the larger Airbus A318, which has the capacity to seat 135 passengers. Furthermore, the change will see the service operated by Air France itself rather than its regional subsidiary HOP!. Similarly, starting March 29, KLM will upgrade its daily operations from Amsterdam to Zagreb during the summer from the E190 to a 122-seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft, which features twenty business class seats, twelve Economy Comfort seats and a further ninety standard economy class seats. The upgrade sees the route transferred from KLM Cityhopper to KLM mainline operations. The B737-700 will be utilised until September 5, after which the E190 will make a comeback on the route. KLM initially launched flights to the Croatian capital last year as a seasonal service but turned into a year-round operation soon after following strong sales.
Bravo Hrvatska!
ReplyDeleteA318 with 135 pax??? Something is wrong there... JU has 128 in its A319.
ReplyDeleteNot wrong at all. AF operates its A318s at maximum capacity. It's all economy and very slim seating. JU has business class plus bigger economy seats.
