Air Serbia is preparing to reveal new developments which the carrier says will be rolled out in the coming year. In his monthly address, Air Serbia’s CEO, Dane Kondić, said, “With 2015 coming to a close, we are busy preparing exciting new developments in 2016, which will be revealed very soon. This month we are celebrating the most successful summer season that Air Serbia has recorded in decades”. Some of the new services introduced by the airline this year include on board wireless Internet across its Airbus fleet, online check-in and the opening of its new premium lounge in Belgrade. “By focusing on our guests and on how we can enhance our travelling proposition, we have been able to overtake many of our larger competitors … ”, Mr Kondić said.
News in the next week or two are much better than all of wifi, online checkin and lounge combined!
ReplyDeleteHopefully they would become ¨national¨airlines, introducing some at least ATR flights from/to INI and maybe KVO! Otherwise for me, personally they are important as much as Ariana Afghan Airlines!

DeleteAir Serbia might as well be called Belgrade Airlines.
Would be even better :)
DeleteCommercial airline, not social service. Live with it.

DeleteGovernment project, not commercial airline. Realize it.

DeleteWizzair has better LF from INI (+80%), than many routes of AS :D lol!
...yeah, next year, that sounds so lame.
ReplyDeleteWhy is JU web site still in test phase?
ReplyDeleteNew web site is at new.airserbia.com while the old ugly one can still be found as official on airserbia.com
I can tell you right away, they are going to announce North American flights that will start in Q2 of 2016. Vucic wants those so they are happening besides not making any commercial sense.
DeleteHahahahah what are you on? Loadfactor of 62 to 70 percent? They can't even secure that to Berlin even less to north America where they will face more competition. Furthermore, the fact that you are basing your argument of their success on the termporary cheap petrol only goes to show how little you know.
DeleteIt shows how much you know..Even a person with no airline knowledge knows that the fule is number one concernt to all airlines. If you can save on fuel you can fly low load factor. It makes sanse what hot Lane i saying 62-69% LF as most airlines out of YYZ are always 15-30 % over capacity
DeleteLet me guess: getting one more ATR and offering Belgrade taxi and hotel discounts for their "guests"? Marketing Airlines cant actually grow.
ReplyDeleteLet me guess. You are a troll?
DeleteI am declaring a hold in me subsidizing Air Serbia by not paying taxes anymore. Sorry guys, painful times but hold on. Tell me when you become profitable so that I can focus on helath and social matters not on a money-loosing-down-the-drain political charade. For non belivers please visit Sasa Radulovic blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat on Earth were you trying to say?
DeleteYawn. You and your SRAdulovic.
DeleteReally good reference....but for those who wants to waste time....
DeleteSasa radulovic would make more sense if he criticized the censorship of the Fiat buyout contract of Zastava in 2008 as much as he does Air Serbia...does he honestly think they were losing less money when JU was going into a further minus with every month of operation
ReplyDelete8 ATR 72
8 E 190
18 Airbus A320 familije
INN-NS
Maybe a bit too much although I agree with the idea of expanding before undertaking such a serious step.
DeleteI think you are spot on on adding those ATRs. If I were them I'd seriously consider a couple of ATR42s to start BEG-INI and even BEG-KVO as someone stated above.
Not sure about those E-Jets though...
DeleteSamo ga iscoolirajte...
DeleteZato sto pricam istinu.
DeleteZa redovne letove Amerika, navodno, trazi dva aviona, a ne jedan?
DeleteI'll quote myself again:
Delete"As a general rule, no airline can be profitable with less than 30 to 50 planes without massive state support or huge discounts, it is the simple economies of scale. That support must continue till the company reaches the critical mass of about 30 aircraft from where if led without major blunders it will eventually reach profitability within a couple of years."
Air Serbia is at a critical phase right now where it is big enough to loose a lot of money but not big enough to make any. That is why, in light of that, i would ultimately support those flights for what they might bring on the long-term, including a consolidation of the regional network and beyond. With the competition gathering pace, it is not a question of whether but when Air Serbia must react, including with apparently premature pre-emptive moves. After all, New York (or some other NA city) should become part of its network sooner or later. The timing isn't perfect but then again, when is it?
Kakvu istinu?
Ukidanje letova i Evropski destinacija i smanjene frekvencije u sadasnjoj mrezi destinacija nece vam bas popunti jednog Airbus A330.
INN-NS
I jos ti letovi sto se pre dese to je bolje za ASL.

DeleteSo much bitterness in a single comment. You'll probably suffer a stroke next Monday when the news is announced.
Flights to US isn't new developments! they being talking about that for a year now!
ReplyDeleteOT: Nema Purgera da prebaci diskusiju na Day 3? ;)

DeleteAnnouncing announcement. Interesting.
