Japan's largest airline, All Nippon Airways (ANA), will operate a handful of charter flights to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport this summer season. The Slovenian Tourist Board has confirmed that Japan's largest tour operator is selling combined packages to Slovenia and Croatia in August and early September. According to the "Sierra5" portal, ANA will operate four charter flights this summer season to the Slovenian capital with departures from Tokyo Narita Airport (August 13 and 27), Osaka (August 20) and Nagoya (September 10). All services will run with the 405-seat Boeing 777-200 aircraft, which features 21 seats in the premium economy cabin and the remaining 384 seats in economy class.
Exotica. Nice!

ReplyDeleteNot new. There were charter flights from Japan to LJU for years.
DeleteBy Japan Airlines (JAL) not All Nippon Airways (ANA). Therefore visitor is NEW.
DeleteDoes anyone know the reason for these quite truly "exotic" charters in Slovenia? Those are a bit surprising to me, though I know that they already happened in the past.
ReplyDeleteAjdovi žganci
DeleteThere are around 40.000 japanese tourists visiting Slovenia each year. Most of them come with Finnair via Helsinki and some come directly from Japan with these charters.
DeleteMaybe also korean air and air china in the future;-)
