OHD has a great catchment area which includes Aegean Macedonia and a major part of Albania, its less than 2hr drive from Tirana. also several mid-sized towns of Greece. Ohrid as a tourist place should be less or more irrelevant, especially once Greece finishes its motorway from Kastoria to Maced. border near Bitola, and Macedonia makes a connection to it, as well as Albania with Tirana-Pogradec. It will be in few years and will make OHD good as a spare LCC airport like Memmingen for example.

    Last Anon.1:19 AM,
Good point with the road infrastructure. When Albania will finish the highway from Tirana to the border (the part MK/AL Border-Elbasan to be exact, which is mostly mountain curvy road full with serpentines as it descends from the border) would be a great alternative for TIA, as now people from opposite direction travel there to fly.
Also, TIA offers more primary airport connections, OHD would be, say LCC option for the microregion.
For the other part, Northern Greece, the motorway is almost done by the Greeks, it's our govermnent turn one for the Medzitlija - BT - OH part, but still SKG unlike TIA offers LCC and legacy flight...
I hope Wizz (or similar)will establish more year long flights, at least 2x week, after the good experience with Luton, which will go year long from this summer schedule. And BSL from 2 to 3x/week.

TSF would be a good start (having in mind that's one of Wizz's less performing SKP routes and most of the passengers are from the area of Ohrid/Struga/Debar and some from SE Albania). From Struga and Debar there are 2-3 daily bus routes for 50-60EUR/OW fare.
Maybe even BTS, as there are 2-3 fully loaded daily bus departures, sometimes more buses on one departure from Struga/Ohrid/Kicevo/Bitola to Vienna/Linz.

Eindhoven or Maastricht/Aachen (ask the Dutches) and DTM/CGN would make sence too, and some of MMX/GOT.
Strange TK haven't started yet, they don't mind so much about LF and have like milion connections to North America and Asia.
