B&H Airlines' AOC revoked

Thursday, November 12, 2015

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) has revoked B&H Airlines' Air Operators Certificate (AOC). As a result, the carrier will no longer be able to use its two ATR 72 aircraft and operate commercial flights. B&H Airlines suspended all scheduled and charter flights on June 11, after the asset company HETA blocked its accounts on April 20 for a second time this year due to outstanding debt. In July, BHDCA suspended B&H's AOC on a temporary basis (for ninety days). However, last month, the regulator finally revoked the airline's AOC. B&H Airlines was set up in 2005 on the foundations of Air Bosna, which also went bankrupt after amassing significant debt.
