B&H bankruptcy by year's end

Monday, November 23, 2015

The Federation government of Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to finalise B&H Airlines' bankruptcy procedures by the end of the year. Almost a third of the carrier's 100-strong workforce will be transferred to Sarajevo Airport. Last month, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation revoked B&H Airlines' Air Operators Certificate (AOC). The carrier suspended all scheduled and charter flights on June 11, after the asset company HETA blocked its accounts on April 20 for a second time this year due to outstanding debt. In the meantime, the airline's website, which is still online, has been hacked. HETA, which owns two ATR 72 aircraft, which were operated by B&H, plans to sell the turboprops.
