Aeroflot, Croatia Airlines, Red Wings and S7 Airlines will operate flights between Croatia and Russia this summer. As a result, the Croatian Minister for Tourism, Anton Kliman, anticipates for the number of Russian visitors to Croatia to triple this year compared to last. "There will be a number of charters this year, while Croatia Airlines will launch services between Zagreb and St. Petersburg next month", Mr Kliman says. Recently, Russian carrier Red Wings Airlines was cleared by Croatian authorities to launch flights to the country. Red Wings has been granted approval to operate up to seven weekly flights from Moscow to both Dubrovnik and Pula, as well as up to five weekly services to Split. In addition, S7 Airlines will boost its operations from Russia to Croatia this summer. The airline will operate seasonal flights from Moscow to Dubrovnik twice per week with an Airbus A320 aircraft, up from a one weekly service last year. Furthermore, the airline will maintain four weekly flights from the Russian capital to Pula, however, the service will launch a month in advance compared to last year (May 1) and run until October 2. Aeroflot continues to mantain its scheduled service between Moscow and Zagreb.
