Dubrovnik will become the first city in the former Yugoslavia to be linked with Iran. Charter flights from Tehran to Dubrovnik are expected to commence on March 18 and will cater for Iranian tourists. A total of nine flights will be operated over a three-week period. According to local media, services are expected to be run by a Swiss airline, although exact details are yet to be made public. The European Union, of which Croatia is a part of, lifted economic and financial sanctions against Iran on January 16.
Wow, didn't expect this. Would have thought that ZAG or BEG would be first cities to be linked with IKA for business reasons. But then again, Iran has nearly 80m population. A substantial middle class, and they can now freely travel for business or leisure. Good on them. To bad Croatia Airlines did not make this deal themselves.
ReplyDeleteStupid Air Serbia, that's the only thing i have to say.
ReplyDeleteAS can still link IKA and BEG. That has nothing to do with these charter flights between IKA-DBK. Unless you meant for AS (or Aviolet) to fly these charter flights?
DeleteGo Croatia!
