A group of 150 employees from the aircraft maintenance company Adria Airways Tehnika have submitted a bid to buy a majority stake in the firm, according to a report in Wednesday's edition of the daily "Dnevnik". Other potential buyers have not been disclosed, however, "Dnevnik" says that the company created by Tehnika's employees, called AAT Holding Projekt, has been shortlisted among the bidders. German-based Express Airways and Lithuania's Avia Solutions were tipped to be among the prospective buyers this spring. The paper's sources say there has been strong interest in the maintenance firm from Switzerland, Croatia, the United Arab Emirates, Ireland and Poland. Adria Airways Tehnika plans to boast a 2.4 million euro profit this year with revenues reaching 20 - 22 million euros. In 2010, Adria Airways sold its 100% stake in Adria Tehnika to the operator of Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (46.7%) and the state-owned financial holding company PDP (52.3%).
