European Aviation Summit begins

The European Aviation Summit begins today at Amsterdam's Schiphol, chaired by the Slovenian European Union Commissioner Violeta Bulc and attended by the Slovenian and Croatian transport ministers, members of the European Parliament and CEOs from the European aviation sector. One subject on the agenda will be the new EU Aviation Strategy, as well as proposals for aviation negotiations with Turkey, the Gulf States, and Southeast Asian countries. There will also be demonstrations on innovation and a round table session with member states, the European Commission and the European Parliament. Airport CEOs speaking at the summit will include those from Wizz Air, Ryanair, Lufthansa, Air France and KLM.

    1. There are no delegations from any airline from any country in the former Yugoslavia. The Ministers of Transport from Croatia and Slovenia are attending as EU members.
