The metasearch engine "Momondo" has conducted a study to determine the most popular international destinations for Turkish passport holders travelling this New Year holiday period, based on airline bookings. It has identified Belgrade as the fourth most popular destination, preceded only by Kiev, the disputed territory of Northern Cyprus and Berlin. Turkish citizens do not require visas to visit Ukraine, Northern Cyprus nor Serbia. "Momondo" does not sell tickets directly, instead it provides an overview of all available travel services on the Internet and refers its users to those travel providers, based on which it conducted the study. Amsterdam, Rome, Paris, Vienna, Dubai and Lviv made up the remaining six most popular destinations. Currently, Air Serbia, Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines offer flights between Istanbul and Belgrade.

Not surprised. You can here Turkish in the center everywhere. I remember talking to a tour operator earlier this year who said that they hoped even more Turkish tourists would come because of the Ukraine crisis but it seems that has died down now.
