Montenegro Airlines has denied claims it is facing a pilot shortage after it was forced to cancel one of its flights from Podgorica to Belgrade on Saturday due to "operational reasons". It has been reported that up to four pilots have left the company, unsatisfied with their work conditions. However, the Montenegrin carrier has said that some of its pilots are on holiday leave until early October, while the flight in question was cancelled due to the captain being sick and no other replacement crew available. The company has accused its former pilots of spreading thr rumours. However, just recently, CEO Daliborka Pejović said the carrier was in the process of hiring new pilots. Montenegro Airlines has been facing financial difficulties for years. It reported a net loss of 6.5 million euros during the first half of the year, with its accumulated debt at 71.5 million euros.
