Montenegro Airlines suspends Tuzla flights

Monday, February 1, 2016

Montenegro Airlines has suspended its short-lived Vienna - Tuzla service, launched on December 23, 2015. Tour operator MySky, which initiated the flights and had exclusive sales rights, said "commercial reasons" were to blame for the suspension. The two-weekly service struggled with poor loads. There were an average of twenty to thirty passengers per flight, operated by the 104-seat Embraer E190 aircraft. All passengers booked for travel on the service will be compensated. Montenegro Airlines operated the flights with the routing Podgorica-Vienna-Tuzla-Vienna-Podgorica.

Only reasons this service was cancelled are that it was very hard to make a booking at all and that noone of exyu people in Vienna had a slightest clue about this service due to sadly zero marketing! Service should be operated by a 70-seater Turboprop and with proper online booking facility and marketing they will fill 50-60 seats easily. The basic demand clearly is there.

In my humble opininon, an ATR42-600 would serve the route perfectly well.
