Podgorica Airport is in talks with Edelweiss Air to upgrade its seasonal summer service from Zurich to year-round operations. Edelweiss launched three weekly flights from the Swiss city to the Montenegrin capital last Wednesday. According to Milovan Djuričković, the CEO of Airports of Montenegro, which manages the country’s two international airports, “All negotiations indicate that these flights will be extended”. Edelweiss, which is a subsidiary of Swiss International Air Lines, runs the service with an Airbus A320. It competes against Montenegro Airlines on the route. The service is scheduled to operate until October 24.
