Sarajevo Airport opens prayer room

Thursday, July 9, 2015

Sarajevo Airport has opened a prayer room at its terminal, which will cater for all major faiths and denominations. It is located on the first floor of the main passenger terminal, prior to passport and customs control and is 36 square metres in size. It is available to those seeking a place for quiet and prayer. Sarajevo Airport’s Managing Director, Ivica Veličan, previously said that the airport has had several requests for a prayer room. In a statement, the airport noted that the room was designed in line with similar facilities at airports across the world.
