Sea Air to launch Sarajevo - Kuwait flights

Wednesday, August 5, 2015

Croatian start-up airline Sea Air will introduce flights between Sarajevo and Kuwait from August 18. Services will operate three times per week with a Boeing 737-500 aircraft. The airline, which will begin operations on August 9 with flights from Osijek to Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart, will run services to Kuwait City each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Tickets can be booked through the airline’s website. In a statement, Sea Air said, “Cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina does not end here. This area has been identified as a breeding ground for new air connections. Therefore, the company proudly announces the opening of a new route, Osijek - Mostar, from August 31”. Sea Air has delayed it launch on several occasions but says it is now ready to begin operations next Monday. It has been operating charter services from Mostar for over a week. Flight details for the Sarajevo - Kuwait route can be found here.

I wonder if it would be wiser for them to consider Sarajevo as a future base rather than Osijek.

  2. Really hope they aren't intending on flying Osijek-Mostar with a B735.

I think they just hope to make some money (revenue, not profit) of a positioning flight

    2. But why do they need to position to Mostar? I haven't heard of any planned destinations from Mostar other than Osijek.

What a joke. It just keeps amazing me the number of "entrepreneurs" that have tons of spare cash to use in these projects that are doomed from the start. This thing, if it ever takes off, will operate for 2-3 weeks maximum. Let the buyer beware!

Both Bosnian and Kuwaiti Government will give them permits to operate on this route NEVER

  5. We need less news about Sea Air and more news about European Coastal Airlines, the true innovative airline from this region. : )

Kuwait Airways already attempted establishing this line, and gave up. Now there ARE already charter flights with Global Aviation's MD-82, so I don't see how will Sea Air get enough passengers? http://www.sarajevo-airport.ba/timetable.php?vrsta=charter&podvrsta=odlasci
