Slovenia - Ukraine eye future flights

Friday, December 4, 2015

The Ukrainian First Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and the country's Ambassador to Slovenia have held talks with the CEO of Adria Airways, Mark Anžur, this week to discuss bilateral cooperation in the field of air transport. Both sides agreed that the resumption of flights between Kiev and Ljubljana would be essential for the further development of bilateral ties. Adria maintained flights between the two capital cities on a seasonal basis until 2011. In 2014, Kiev's Boryspil Airport announced the airline's return to the city, however, the flights never went ahead. Adria currently runs services from Tallinn to Kiev on behalf of Nordic Aviation Group. This winter, Windrose Airlines will operate three charter flights from December 29, 2015 until January 12, 2016 each Tuesday from Kharkiv, in Ukraine's east to Maribor.
