Sukhoi visits Serbia

Monday, October 26, 2015

A delegation from the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft company, which manufactures the SSJ100 commercial jet, visited Serbia last week where they held talks with representatives from Serbia's aviation sector including Air Serbia, aircraft maintenance company Jat Tehnika, light planes manufacturer Utva and the Serbian Civil Aviation Directorate. Vladimir Lavrov, the Chief Designer at the Sukhoi Company who formed part of the delegation, told Russia's "Pravda" daily, "We are, to say the least, surprised by the range of services that can be offered in Serbia. Starting from design, engineering and the certification of instruments and devices. We considered the possibility of cooperating in the field of aircraft maintenance and even the production of individual components". He added, "It is safe to say that talks with our Serbian colleagues were very successful. We found a few ideas that we will develop jointly and received a number of interesting proposals from our Serbian counterparts".

  1. Best would be if Jat Tehnika became a SSJ MRO and Air Serbia acquired 4-7 SSJs.

Maybe even London City airport could be a possibility. I bet the business traffic between London City and South East Europe could be pretty high yielding.

    1. Mr Stojanovic,
noting to aid on few words you say about Sukhoi SSJ 100. Proticulary for idea to using that jet for destinations, such London City Airport. Price per unit and many opportunity with that, can give chance for moderate busness. Regard ✈R✈. KVO✈SYD.
