Tenerife eyes Croatia Airlines flights

Tenerife Airport has held talks with Croatia Airlines over potential flights to the Canary Islands. The talks were also attended by the President of the Cabildo de Tenerife, the island's governing body, Carlos Alonso, and the Minister for Tourism, Alberto Bernabe. The airport said potential flights would primarily cater for Croatian holidaymakers and could draw strong interest. "The increase in connectivity is a priority for the council because it is key to the tourism and economic development of Tenerife. The arrival of new companies on the market ultimately results in increased competitiveness, which reduces ticket prices", Mr Alonso said. Tenerife's main airport handled over nine million passengers last year and boasted significant traffic throughout the year. Barcelona is Croatia Airlines' only destination in Spain, which it maintains on a seasonal summer basis.

    Pa kad sam prezentirao CTN-u (2010.) što raditi sa avionima zimi (a koji čuče nezaposleno i stvaraju debeli minus) jedna od opcija koju sam smatrao nisko rizičnom je bila jedna rotacija tjedno (tijekom zime, kasne jeseni i ranog proljeća):

    Zagreb - Teneriffi - Gran Canaria - Zagreb
    + konekcije na te letove sa redovnim linijama iz DBV, SPU, ZAD, PUY, SJJ, SKP, PRN (sada i OSI).

    Uračunavši i potencijalne putnike iz Slovenije, Istočne Mađarske, Sjeverozapadne Srbije i Sjeverne Bosne mislim da ne bi bilo upitno privuči 100 putnika tjedno na ovoj liniji što čini break-even na A319. Zimi kada prizemljeni A319 gubi opak novac break even je nevjerovatan uspjeh.

      Yes, I am also sure there is a market for 140 seats a week to TFS or 70 to TFS+ 70 to LPA. Would make sense to fly from ZAG in the evening and land back in the morning I guess so connections can be provided.

      S obzirom na ekonomsku situaciju u Hrvatskoj, tesko da ce Tenerifa biti resenje. Let bi trebalo da traje oko 5,6 sati, sto bi, ako bi kabina bila I sa 100 putnika bilo katastrofa po OU. Mozda bi eventualno pomogla Slovenija, ali Bosnu te Srbiju u to ne treba nikako racunati. Ne verujem da bi RT karta mogla da kosta ispod 300 evra, a I to bi bila mizerija..

      Gospodine Purger, tesko da ce let moci da bude "vezan" odnosno "trougao" : Blok-vreme od Zagreba do Tenerifa je nekih 5 sati, isto toliko i nazad, plus sat vremena "bloka" izmedju Tenerifa i Grankanarije, plus dva puta po sat vremena "na zemlji" na Kanarima, plus sat i po "radnog vremena" posade (sat ranije i pola sata kasnije) cini 14 i po sati ukupnog radnog vremena, a maksimalno dozvoljeno je 13. I to danju. A nocu manje. Dakle sa svim mogucim kracenjima i prilagodjavanjima tesko se ovo moze izvesti, a da ce posada zbog 1 leta/lega sedeti besposleno na Tenerifama nedelju dana, zao mi je, to nije bilo ni u onom ex-ex-JAT-u.
      Ali samo ZAG-Tenerife-ZAG ili ZAG-LasPalmas-ZAG da, apsolutno, mislim da ce to ici, tim pre sto vec postoje takvi carteri koji idu iz Ljubljane, i to za tur-operatore u hrvatskom vlasnistvu.
