Turkish Airlines, which maintains ten weekly flights between Istanbul and Podgorica, says it is satisfied with its performance on the Montenegrin market with plans to add additional frequencies. The carrier’s General Manager for Montenegro, Oguz Ali Turkeli, says, “During the last winter season we operated five weekly flights, while the plan for this winter is to maintain daily services”. Next summer, the carrier could introduce double daily flights to the Montenegrin capital. Earlier this year, Turkish Airlines told EX-YU Aviation News that it has no plans to introduce new routes in the former Yugoslavia, but will focus on adding extra frequencies on existing services instead.
