The inaugural service between Vienna and Tuzla, which Montenegro Airlines was scheduled to operate today, has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina's third largest city. The service was to depart Vienna at 10.35 but was initially delayed by an hour, due to fog in Tuzla, before the service was cancelled for today. There were some thirty passengers booked on the inaugural flight. Services are planned to operate twice per week with an Embraer E190 jet. The next flight is scheduled for this Wednesday. Operations at Tuzla Airport have been affected over the past few days as a result of poor visibility, with two Wizz Air flights diverted to Belgrade yesterday and another diverted to Banja Luka this morning.

ReplyDeleteWizz will move shop as well as TZL is not viable during the winter with the continuous fog. Some flights are moved to GDN-based aircraft already until 05 January (initially).
ReplyDeleteVienna airport operations were also affected by sometimes heavy, thick fog during the last approx. two weeks, but there were NO diversions and cancellations due to that reason as to my knowledge - only quite a few delays as there is (much) more time needed particularly in line ups for landings during approach.
