| EU approves Dubrovnik Airport expansion funds |
The multi million euro expansion of Dubrovnik Airport is in full swing, with all construction work currently on schedule. This week, the European Investment Bank (EIB) approved a 32.5 million euro loan for the project. Under the terms of the deal, the EIB will initially provide seven million euros as a direct loan to Dubrovnik Airport and 10.5 million through Croatia's Development Bank (HBOR). The entire project, which will include the construction of a new passenger terminal, storage facilities, access roads, car park and the lengthening of the runway and taxiways, is valued at 274 million euros and will be co-financed through EU structural funds. According to the EIB, the loan was approved as the project will cater for future growth in traffic and improve safety and service standards.
Dubrovnik Airport's expansion project is scheduled for completion in 2019. The aim of the redevelopment is to increase the airport’s capacity and reduce congestion issues during the peak summer months. The new terminal will stretch over 36.500 square metres and have the capacity to handle 3.5 million passengers per year, according to the project outline. Furthermore, it will feature additional air bridges. The future building will be located next to the current terminal and will be connected to it. Long-term plans call for the construction of a commercial zone around the airport with a hotel and even a second runway. The first phase of Dubrovnik Airport’s expansion began in 2007 and was completed in 2010. It included the construction of Croatia's most modern passenger terminal stretching over 13.700 square metres. It has the capacity to handle two million passengers per year. In addition, the airport installed two air bridges at the beginning of 2015, becoming the first in Croatia to feature them.
Dubrovnik is preparing for an extremely busy summer next year with a handful of airlines already announcing new services to the city, among which are Volotea, Air Berlin, Niki and Transavia, while many carriers will boost frequencies on existing seasonal flights. During the first nine months of the year, Dubrovnik Airport handled 1.505.938 passengers, an increase of 6.6% compared to the same period in 2014.

3. Prolongiraju se kupnja novih A319, no iznajmljuju se A319 i A320 od Adrije jer su jako jeftini a otvraju se linije poput DMO.

Još da doda SSJ i C919 na spisak i onda smo sve odradili! Ili možda da "nabavimo" koji širokotrupac?
E sad se pitam tri pitanja:
1. Još prije par tjedana bila je gotova stvar nabavka Emraera 190. Sad je opet CRJ in? WTF? Lufthansa se predomišlja i mijenja naloge ili se igramo dječjeg vrtića pa bi malo piškio, a malo kakio?
2. Zna li uopće g. Kučko što želi? Koja je strategija firme ako se planovi toliko često i drastičnio mijenjaju (pa nije, do vraga isto letjeti sa A320 i sa CRJ)?
3. Koja je svrha ovakvih čestih promijena stavova? Služi li to zaigravanju radnika, koji onda samo o tome pričaju i time se maskiraju pravi problemi firme?
Nikako se ne mogu složiti o neusporedivosti Airbusa i 100-seater jetova (danas razlika između regionalnih zrakoplova i Airbuseva nije toliko velika da je neusporediva). No, upravo je g. Kučko taj koji je govorio o zamjeni flote A319 sa CSerijom, ili sa 100-seaterima. Sa time su se piloti "zabavljali" mjesecima, pa su bili jako sretni kada su Airbusevi ostali. Slučajno? Mudrome dosta.
Isto tako jasno je da danas Embraer 190 ili veći CRJ može zamijeniti Airbuseve na 90% linija (neisplativ je samo na onim aerodromima koji slotovima i taksama motiviraju veće zrakoplove poput LHR ili FRA) ili pak na izuzetno dugim linijama na kojima CTN i ovako ne leti (upitan bi možda bio samo TLV koji se leti tek 2 leta tjedno i u slučaju promjene strategije ne bi bio krucijalan za egzistenciju firme). Čak štoviše niz kompanija je povečao broj frekvencija uvođenjem 100-seatera umjesto Airuseva i time bitno povečao broj putnika. Jednom sam napisao analizu pojedinih linija Finnaira i povečanja broja putnika rezultiranih povečanjem broja frekvencija prelaskom sa A320 na E-190. Dat ću samo jedan primjer. Nekadašnja linija sa jednom dnevnom frekvencijom sa A320 povečana je na dvije sa E-190. Rezultat je bio uvođenje i trećeg dnevnog leta sa A319 u samo godinu i pola. Dakle, u ovom momentu reči da 100-seater ne može biti zamjena za Airbus nije blizu istini. I konačno još jednom naglašavam da je g. Kučko i sam javno govorio o takvoj mogućnosti.
I zato i jesam pitao kakva je strategija firme? Posebno što se tako lako mijenjaju bitni stavovi. Ja bih shvatio da netko kaže mi ćemo uvesti manji avion zato da povečamo broj frekvencija što će u konačnici povečati broj putnika (uz sve pozitivne i negativne efekte koje bi to imalo). No, onda možemo raspravljati o CRJ (eventualno CSeriji) ili Embraeru. No, u isto vrijeme i gemištirati u to Airbus...
Ili pak strategija firme može biti: "mi ćemo imati dualnu flotu jetova". No, u kombinaciji sa Q400 imati tri različita zrakoplova na samo 12-14 aviona nije hrabro nego ravno samoubojstvu. Da firma odluči povečati flotu na 18-20 zrakoplova to bi još i imalo smisla, ali imati po 2-6 zrakoplova po tipu stvarno toliko poskupljuje poslovanje i otežava operativno djelovanje da će samo ubrzati propast firme. I u tom kontekstu sam spominjao strategiju firme.
I upravo zato sam istakako da ne mogu dokučiti tu potrebu za iznošenjem takvih podataka i da mi to sve liči na dječji vrtić.

There are 3 companies in exYU region that are competition which work in same airports as feeding. Two of those were affected by third huge expansion and dumping. Now third one have big reduce and in same time two others have increasing. It is all about air traffic not a bit of nationalism.
