Air France's regional subsidiary HOP! will upgrade capacity on its service between Paris and Ljubljana. As reported by the "Sierra5" portal, the French carrier will deploy its 100-seat Embraer 190 aircraft on flights between the two capitals, adding an extra 24 daily seats each way. The airline currently maintains services with the smaller 74-seat E170 jet. HOP! will operate seven weekly flights between Paris and Ljubljana this summer, complementing Adria Airways' ten weekly operation (up from eight last year). The two carriers codeshare on each others' service.

LJU is on the rise!
ReplyDeleteThat's what? 4000 extra seats this summer season, or even less?
ReplyDeleteMore like 9000 both ways
DeleteRight. Forgot that the planes come back too
DeleteFantastic news for LJU, it's on a roll. Definitely a record year.
ReplyDeleteDoes it mean LJU has more weekly flights to CDG than BEG and ZAG?
ReplyDeleteLJU has 17, however I don't know what's the overall capacity.
DeleteMore than BEG which has 13, don't know about ZAG.
Deletehonestly I don’t get this! however, W6 flies to BVA 4 times a week during the summer season
DeleteThey also fly during the winter but anyway Belgrade has more seats.
DeleteDoes anyone know how Adria is doing their new routes? In a week they should start all new summer operations, is Adria satisfied with current presell? My concerns appeared after Adria launched many special offers for their new routes in the last 2 weeks. Regards!
ReplyDeleteDoing with their new routes*
DeleteI work at LJU airport and i will tell you on sunday but from my information the flight should be full
DeleteHvala! ๐๐ป Do you maybe know if the new routes will all be operated by CRJ or they opted for some other (leased?) option?
Deleteall will be by CRJ mixed with 700 and 900
DeleteSounds good! Hvala ๐๐ฝ
DeleteFrom what I can see, they expect to get all those saabs in june, coz till june all the new routes are planned to be operated by crj700 and from june 1th on there are saabs in the system. Does Anyone know if saabs are coming at all?
ReplyDeleteSpokesman for Trieste airport said that it's airport is visited by 727k people per year and 10% of which are slovenes. So that's 70k that could be going through LJU if it would have better connections
ReplyDeleteWrong. People from Obala are closer to Ts. Sorry.
DeleteIf LJU and TRS were served by exactly the same routes then people go for the cheapest options, but thats not the case. If LJU manages to get another 2-3 LCC routes (specially to Spain/Greece - ๐) then im pretty much sure most of slovenians would fly out from LJU. I just booked tickets LJU - CDG 2 weeks ahead and the cheapest option was 170€ return - i dont think there r many willing to drive to TRS/VCE/TSF to fly for 50€ less to CDG or for 100€ less but to BVA. With more direct connections LJU will def steal some passengers from neighbouring airports. TRS can be usefull for leisure passangers (connecting in FCO is useless), anything else LJU is very decent.
DeleteThe possibility of LJU exceeding SKP is becoming a reality.
ReplyDeleteYes, but not this year, or next year or the year after that. Maybe in 5-10 years.
DeleteWizz is eagerly waiting for the new macedonian subsidies tender ;)
DeleteThey are allready flying with E190.
ReplyDeleteWell, thats not true. I just checked 2 different dates before and after the summer schedule applies. Till the 25th there is E170 in the system on all HOP flights, after this dates all flights r operated by E190!
DeleteCheck today 19.03. There was E190 at the gate.
DeleteLJU needs flights to BVA immediately.
ReplyDeleteBVA?? Who wants to fly to BVA? It takes u 2h+ to get to the city ๐
Delete1h is perfectly enough. Done that 2 times.
DeleteCheck google map and u gonna see that right now u need 2h 12min to get from BVA to the city centre and 1h 30min the other way around. Useless!
