PHOTOS: Dubrovnik completes runway overhaul

NEWS FLASH

Dubrovnik Airport has successfully completed work on the third and final phase of its runway overhaul, which was carried out over the 2018/19 winter season. It involved the reconstruction of the western tip of the runway following the successful overhaul of the eastern and central segments. The runway is 3.300 metres long. During 2019, Dubrovnik Airport will continue with its 225 million euro expansion project. Other airside improvements will include the construction of two new rapid exit taxiways, the expansion of the apron, as well as the construction of new commercial and general aviation aprons, a small general aviation terminal, the development of aircraft, maintenance and operation facilities, as well as a multi-storey car park with the capacity to handle 700 vehicles.
