NEWS FLASH

Qatar Airways has scheduled a widebody Airbus A330-200 aircraft on its Zagreb service during the second week of October. The carrier will deploy the 260-seat jet on its second morning service from Doha to the Croatian capital on October 8 and 13, as a one-off. Overall, Qatar Airways maintains double daily flights to Zagreb during the summer season with a mix of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The carrier is currently utilising the wide-body jet on flights to Sarajevo until the end of August.

It's two flights altogether, operated during the summer season.

Yeah but it shows that there is an upward trend and I am sure A330/B77W will be a regular next summer.

Not really as most flights this summer were operated by A320s while last summer one flight was always operated by A321. The fact that it is only 2 flights in such short proximity means it is being sent either because of cargo or because of a group. For example this also happened in Belgrade where they sent an A330 because the Serbian football team was on the flight and they needed greater cargo space.

Two flight does not mean anything, but it is good that we will se bigger bird in ZAG from QR.

So on OCT 8th we will have 3 wbs at the same time in ZAG, Emirates with B777-300, Korean with B787-900 and Qatar with A330-200. That would be a nice picture! :)

      It's B787-9, not B787-900.
