easyJet to commence new Croatia flights

NEWS FLASH

Low cost carrier easyJet has announced four new seasonal routes to the Croatian coast in 2020.

The airline will add two new destinations from the United Kingdom to Pula next summer season, bringing its total number of destinations from the Croatian coastal city to ten. The low cost airline will commence a three weekly service from London Luton starting April 28, while two weekly flights from Glasgow will be inaugurated on June 22. Luton becomes the third airport in London within easyJet’s network to boast flights to Pula, joining Gatwick and Southend.

As previously reported, easyJet and Pula Airport concluded a five-year agreement at the World Travel Market in the UK’s capital last month. The new deal further strengthens cooperation between the two sides and motivates the airline to continue growing its operations in Pula, particularly towards the UK market.

The no frills carrier will also commence three weekly services from Basel to Zadar starting June 22. It will be followed up the following day with the launch of two weekly flights from Amsterdam to Zadar.

I’m just hoping that someday they’ll announce something new from LJU.

Same for ZAG, though LJU is probably five times more likely, lol.

With Transavia increasing RTM to three a week, ZAD will have 5 weekly in summer to the AMS area. Considering Lauda is launching Maastricht, ZAD will have daily connections to the Netherlands next summer. I guess competition is slowly beginning to heat up :) Nice :)

So far, for next season, 99% percent of new routes to/from Croatia are not for ZAG.

there is actually no new destinations from ZAG so far, and I would not be surprised if it will remain 0 until new summer season. Only option is that, OU with our money, lease one more small A/C and open 2-3 destinations from ZAG, just because of government.

The main problem in Croatia is the seasonality. Zadar, Pula or Rjieka are practically deserted in winter. Other issue is the lack of low cost airlines in Croatia, specially in Zagreb, quite surprising there's no a single Wizzair or Ryanair route from there
