NEWS FLASH
Leisure carrier Jet2 will introduce seasonal summer flights between London Gatwick and Pula. It comes after the airline announced the opening of a base at the London airport. The new service will launch on May 2 and run weekly until October 17 with the 232-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft. Jet2 will compete directly against easyJet and TUI on the service. Further flight details can be found here. Last week, the airline inked a four-year agreement with the Croatian National Tourist Board for the launch of new routes and capacity growth on the Croatian market. Based on existing commitments, Pula will be linked to eight airports in the United Kingdom during the 2026 summer season - Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted and Manchester. London Gatwick will become Jet2's fifth Pula route, joining Birmingham, East Midlands, Manchester and London Stansted.

Istra developing finally seeing results. Always forgotten after beautiful dalmatia.
ReplyDeleteAnd what about other Croatian Adriatic regions Kvarner, Primorje, Velebitsko primorje, Dubrovnik?
DeleteKvarner and Primorje are RJK aerea. You can forget about it because RJK mission is not to develop air traffic and air connectivity but to develop parking business. Velebit and Dubrovnik reacheable through ZAD and DBV respectively, have chances
DeleteOk, but I was talking about geographical regions, and you were talking about airports. Ok. :) Istria has Portorož as well, and Trieste, Dalmatia Brač as well. Lošinj maybe again in the future.
DeleteIstria has more tourists than all of Dalmatia combined. It also has the longest tourist season in Croatia despite having the worst weather.
DeleteYou mean the worst weather on the Adriatic I suppose? Well, it is moderate climate there, it is not so hot during the summer like in Dalmatia and Dubrovnik. And Istria, Kvarner and Primorje region are really close to many countries in central Europe and Italy in comparison with Dalmatia and Dubrovnik.
DeleteIt has more rain than Dalmatia, more clouds than Dalmatia, VERY strong winds year-round and VERY strong storms in July and August.
DeleteIt is still Mediterranean, not North Sea.
DeleteBravo Hrvatska!
