Croatia Airlines has rolled out new uniforms for its flight crew as part of its broader branding redesign presented in 2024 with the arrival of its first Airbus A220 aircraft. The carrier initially presented its new uniform concept two years ago. In a statement, the company said, “The new collection has been designed as a capsule wardrobe system that meets the operational demands of working in an aircraft cabin while clearly aligning with the company’s renewed visual language. It represents a long-term, sustainable approach to dressing, shaped with durability, functionality and visual consistency in mind”. The uniforms were created by Croatian fashion designer Martina Vrdoljak Ranilović.

Commenting further on the new uniforms, the airline said, “The collection consists of a series of essential, modular garments that allow for multiple combinations within a clearly defined visual framework. The design deliberately seeks a balance between the profession’s almost romanticised, heritage perception and a contemporary, functional approach to dressing, tailored to the real needs of today’s aviation environment. The uniforms provide ease of movement, a sense of security and professional dignity, while simultaneously conveying the company’s identity”. It added, “The colour palette is directly derived from Croatia Airlines’ renewed visual identity. Deep blue, traditionally associated with professionalism, reliability and authority, forms the foundation, while other tones appear as subtle accents. Material selection was one of the key aspects of the process, particularly due to the specific working conditions in an aircraft cabin. Preference was given to natural fibres to ensure a higher level of comfort, breathability and safety, while the construction of the garments has been adapted for year-round wear, regardless of seasonal changes”.

    I really like the new uniforms. But you would think the airline could have hired 5 models to present them rather than use AI generated images.

      What are you on about? The average age of an AC flight attendant is 60 years old, what do you expect them to wear?

      A couple of years ago AC had a promotion of new uniforms that promoted staff to show off their tattoos. From that moment on it felt like I was on a flight run by the department of prisons.

      What AC has to do with CRO crew or uniform?
      Strange they are blue and not red? Reminds me more on Yugoslavia times.

      @14.25
      I am 60 years old. Fit, regularly speedwalk 12 km and swim 2 km in summer. Blood pressure 120/80, sugar 5, zero medicines, zero regular therapy. Wear sportswear, sweatpants, hoodies, sweaters, tennis shoes. Two weeks ago came back from Doha-Dar es salaam-Zanzibar-Mauritius, travel regularly my own organisation. Still feel need to change the World. And your comment is ultra discriminatory, and very fashionable, in line with today's "culture of youth and beauty", enforced in order to ultimately exploit above mentioned youth and beauty

    I love the new uniforms BUT I think it is beyond bad taste to be introducing new uniforms 2 weeks after the government bailed you out to the tune of over 100 million EUR.

    OU need to utilise their shiny new planes more so these expensive new uniforms can get a bit more wear out of them.
