Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport recently recorded its highest number of aircraft movements in a single day, according to the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, Eurocontrol. On June 12, a total of 367 arriving and departing flights were handled, representing a 3.7% increase on the previous record set on May 25, 2025. Of these, 281 movements were scheduled commercial flights alone, excluding charter, cargo, business aviation and other non-scheduled operations, which also account for a significant share of traffic at the airport.

DeleteAll they needed to do is expropriate strip of land 10m wide, not even the entire length of the runway.
Well Belgrade airport will never be so large that two runways are needed for further growth. Look at what Gatwick can do. However i agree it was a missed opportunity to set out a development that allowed for two runways and sufficient space to start with a new terminal jn the 2040s.

ReplyDeleteNaravno, ali pre svega putnicima bez kojih ne bi bilo toliko letova. Onima koijma je rečeno da linija za Njujork neće drugo potrajati ali su oni su ipak pokazali da hoće.
DeleteOK je let za Njujork ali bilo je još 365 poletanja i sletanja tog dana.
