Croatian ACMI specialist ETF Airways has taken delivery of its fifth aircraft and fourth Boeing 737-800 (pictured). The sixteen-year-old jet, nicknamed “Explorer”, previously operated for carriers including Shandong Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle. It is the second aircraft to join the airline’s fleet this year, following the addition of an ATR72-600, which has since been wet-leased to Croatia Airlines. Although the newly delivered aircraft, registered 9A-ICF, is the carrier’s fourth Boeing 737-800, one of ETF Airways’ existing Boeing jets has been out of service since January 1 after sustaining significant damage on the ground during a hailstorm in Argentina. The 25-year-old aircraft is now facing the possibility of being written off.

Who are they going to lease it to?
