NEWS FLASH
Qatar Airways will utilise a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft on its service between Doha and Zagreb on a one-off basis this August and September. It represents an upgrade on its usual Airbus A320 equipment and marks the first time the airline has used a wide-body aircraft on its Zagreb service since the 2022 FIFA World Cup in November and December of that year. Qatar Airways will deploy its 254-seat B787-8 on August 22 and September 2. The aircraft features 22 seats in business class and the remaining 232 in economy. Last-minute equipment swaps and changes remain possible.
Qatar Airways registered 28.946 travellers on board its Zagreb service during the first quarter of the year, representing a slight decrease of 1%. The airline had eight fewer operations than the previous Q1. The Qatari carrier’s average cabin load factor on the route stood at 87%, an improvement of two points.

Wow.
ReplyDeleteI'm genuanely surprised they have not sent a wide body on a single flight to Zagreb for the past 2 and a half years.
ReplyDeleteI don't get this obsession with widebodies for a 5 hour flight. We'd much rather have frequency than widebody capacity.
DeleteI have heard lots of talk of Qatar going downhill since covid. Can anyone confirm? Customer service has definitely gone downhill, but is it as bad as people say?
ReplyDeleteQuite the opposite. Service has improved in my oppinion, especially under the new CEO and especially in premium cabins. Even though I thought it would go in the other direction considering the former CEO was a micro manager. Without doubt the best airline in the skies today in terms of service.
DeleteI too believe that Akbar's toxicity has chocked QR in the past and that with his departure, the staff are now more motivated and it has resulted in better traveling experiences overall. They are still struggling with Hamad ground ops - a big mess especially on short transits, with poorly trained staff who simply couldn't care less. But otherwise, not a bad airline...
DeleteTour group most likely considering that there are 10 days apart between the two flights
