The Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services Agency, which covers air traffic across the two countries, handled a record million flights within a single year for the first time. The milestone was achieved last Friday, December 12, with the millionth flight being an incoming Air Serbia service from Zurich to Belgrade. In 2025, a 6% year-on-year increase was recorded in SMATSA’s area of jurisdiction, with over 110.000 take off and landings at airports in Serbia and Montenegro, over 400 take off and landings in one day at Nikola Tesla Airport, more than 4.100 flights per day during the season and 265 operations in one hour.
