NEWS FLASH
The expansion of Zadar Airport’s terminal building, part of a 100-million-euro development project, is advancing and expected to open by the end of the month. Key sections of the arrivals and departures areas are currently being completed, including both the lower and upper levels of the building, which will feature nine gates. The new part of the facility, which forms a single functioning unit with the existing terminal, is valued at fifteen million euros. The expansion project at Zadar Airport will also subsequently include a runway extension of approximately 700 metres, as well as an expansion of the apron.
The airport’s CEO, Josip Klišmanić, noted, “Interior finishing is currently underway, including flooring and the remaining craft works. We must be ready to welcome passengers by the end of this month, when the summer schedule begins, and we will be. Not everything will be fully completed, but we will start the season without any issues. The new terminal will enable an increase in capacity, significantly enhance the passenger experience and greatly improve throughput compared to the old building. It will also allow passenger numbers to grow from the current 1.6 million to at least three million in a single season”.

Nice work!
