MyCargo to launch Tuzla B747 freighter flights

Turkish cargo airline ACT, operating under the name MyCargo Airlines, will launch regular freighter flights to Tuzla next month with its Boeing 747F aircraft. The carrier will ferry meat products from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkey. Tuzla Airport's General Manager, Rifet Karasalihović, said, "We have already signed an agreement with MyCargo Airlines from Turkey, under which it will operate flights with a Boeing 747, one of the largest aircraft in the world, which has the capacity to carry 110 tonnes of freight. Currently, it is planned for the flights to operate three times per week. Whether this will change in the future remains to be seen". According to Mr Karasalihović, cargo flights to and from Tuzla will commence during the second week of June. Due to runway constraints, the B747F is unlikely to operate with a full payload.  Currently, meat exports to Turkey are handled by Banja Luka and Sarajevo airports. Tuzla Airport has received all necessary clearances from Bosnia and Herzegovina's Commission for Integrated Border Management in order to cater for cargo operations.

It's a number of meat-packing enterprises certified to export high quality meat to Turkey.

does not make sense economically ...

    1. JU520 BEGLAX14:15

Why? Kind of unbalanced deal between the two gvnmts?

    2. TheBosnian22:48

What an expert! Sending 6 (six) refrigerating trucks across 3 borders and having them wait (up to 15 days at the Bulgarian - Turkish border alone), is of course, very economical....

    3. Anonymous00:02

As if Turkey has not meat enough themself.
With its millons of livestock .No they have to import it from Bosnia .
And of course it has to be a freighter jumbo . And only half full .This is not economics - that is ottomanics .

    4. Bosnian00:18

As long as we get the money, why would we care?

    5. TheBosnian01:39

So, how do you call that German pork meat czar investing in Serbia?
      Talking about double standards....
By the way NO Country in the world produces enough of all meats for domestic needs....

Considering Aviation as one of most globalized areas of economy, it shocks and appalls me always again to see how many primitives and petty nationalists have found their way onto this website :-(
