NEWS FLASH

The overhaul of Skopje Airport’s runway is progressing on schedule with all work to be completed by May 16. The airport is currently replacing the upper layer of the runway’s asphalt, with construction work taking place in phases. As a result of the runway project, the airport is closed for take offs and landings between 09.00 and 17.00 each day. Skopje Airport’s runway is 2.950 meters long and 45 meters wide. The last major work on the runway took place in 1996, during which the airport was closed for two and a half months, with all traffic shifted to Ohrid.
