Deleteenough to make it “unstoppable”
Make a post about Wizz Air's new OHD-BTS route too

DeleteYesss, its time for Wizz to step up their game in Croatia, now that transavia and vueling have discontinued quite a few routes and Ryan is also not expanding like earlier years.
ReplyDeleteIf FR does not get the subsidies it wants and reduces ZAG flying I can definitely see Wizz moving in.
DeleteFirst, Ryanair never got any subsidies in Zagreb. They launched base under incentive program available for all carriers. Second, they are doing just fine in ZAG, they are not reducing but growing, modestly but growing, and again, that growth is not related to any "subsidies". And third, Wizz would make a very good addition to ZAG, which misses links to many markets, or cities where Wizz dominates. In my opinion, there is enough space in ZAG for both Ryanair and Wizz. Is there enough good will, that's completely other story
DeleteThere is no space for Ryanair, Wizz and OU though.
DeleteI think you are wrong because you speak about diferrent market segments. Not entirely, but in 70-80 % LCC and legacy markets don't overlap. Therefore OU, especially midget and feeder as it is, doesn't fit into this comparison. How, why and if OU could be bigger and better is one story, belonging eventually in the future. Space for both Ryanair and Wizz in Zagreb is the other story, present time, which has very little to do with OU
DeleteThey do overlap too much.
DeleteThe market is too small, no matter how different the market segments are. There is a reason why FR is not present in BEG. And there is also a reason why Wizz failed in VIE.
DeleteLet's wait and see 🙂
DeleteBeautiful.
