Ouch, not even 1% growth. Still without added routes or frequencies I guess even that is, if not good, then at least not terrible.

Depressing result for one of the busiest months in the year. Did they plan growth of 5% this year?

    LOL 0,9%

As long as OU is the sheriff in town such results will not change. I can only imagine what will happen in November.

OMG! This is a catastrophe! I just wonder what the management thinks when they see these figures?!

Probably nothing. They care about profits and that's what they are still getting even without passenger growth.

haha anon 10.43. You obviously still long for the communism. Times have changed. The aiport is a private enterprise- and their main goal is to make P R O F IT :D

But that's what I said, they are still getting profits even without massive passenger growth. ZAG is trying to be sustainable and not to chase passengers at all costs like some other airports.

They are making a profit, but if you take into consideration that they have a massive loan and concession fee, I am not so sure they are making profits.

I presume they're making sufficient profit according to their calculations.

If they keep like this they will not pass 3.5 million this year. They need a really strong winter which at the moment doesn't seem likely. I wouldn't be surprised to see their numbers fall in the coming months.

    1. That happens when foreigners took over the airport. Split Airport has 2,5 million pax so far comapred to Zagreb"s 2,2 million ,ridiculous .Next month Dubrovnik will have more passengers than Zagreb.

Could SPU overtake them this year at the end of the year? Last year SPU had 3.1 and they are growing rapidly now.

    3. It will be close but I think SPU it will overtake Zag at the end of the year.

    4. Next month it will be :
      Split Airport: 3.1 million pax
      Zagreb Airport: 2,6 million

ZAG will always be the capital airport in Croatia and cannot be compared to airports serving the coast who benefit mostly from LCC-type pax at the moment. Once the LCC tickets get more expensive the numbers at the coast will drop.

  8. Split Airport 2,5 million passengers so far
Zagreb Airport 2,2 million pax so far
    Dubrovnik 2.1 million
Next month Dubrovnik"s airport will took over Zagreb that would mean Zagreb"s airport will drop to 3rd place in terms of Croatian"s busiest airport's.

Traditionally, Zagreb has stronger winter than either of the other two airports. Zagreb will probably keep the first place at the end of the year, but Split will be very close behind.

    2. What's the point of having strong winter when Split having more than double numbers od pax compared to Zagreb 5 straight months.

God knows what will happen this winter in ZAG though.

ZAG will always handle the largest number of pax per year. These peaks during summer clearly show those are LCC-type pax that arrive during summer season and very few Croatian citizens are among those

Yes but ZAG is stagnating while SPU is booming. You do the maths.

The recession is coming and the plane tickets will get more expensive. You do the maths.

    1. Croatia will always have their numbers of pax no matter is it recession or not. This has been proven during the last recession .

    2. Anonymous14:00

I did not say nobody will come, but we can expect significant drop. The last recession cannot be used for comparison cause at that time the number of tourists was still very low.
