SmartLynx Airlines opens Pristina base

Latvian charter carrier SmartLynx Airlines opened its base in Pristina late last week by stationing an Airbus A320 aircraft in the city. Contracted by tour operator PrishtinaJET, the airline also inaugurated its first services from Kosovo to Munich and Stuttgart. The tour operator previously noted the carrier would base two A320s in Pristina and launch operations to Basel and Dusseldorf, in addition to Stuttgart and Munich. The new base will result in 33 new jobs, which will grow to sixty in the coming period. PrishtinaJET was established by a group of investors from the aviation industry, as well as professionals from the tourism and travel sectors.

      Smartlynx is NOT opening the base, the operator pseudo wish to be airline YES, but they dont have 2 milion USD for first months looses to put, So ?!. Very stupid and the worst timing in aviation history to start a new operation in already strong batteled marked, airport.

      Almost. Which means PRN will be neck to neck with the bigger ex-Yu airports. Don't forget that SKP lost a W6 plane this year.

      On PRN webpage you have list of the all flights in a day which were planned for 2020. most of them are cannceled and are not planned to be operated at all. Thts why there is a drop at PRN in terms of passanger numbers as on every other airport in the world.

      Not really. PRN and ZAG were less affected as airports and remained more open during the pandemic. The story is different.

      Less effected? ZAG had one daily flight with dash. That isnt significant at all to say these airports are not effected while all of the world aviation heavily is.
      But at least is nice to see someone talking glorificating stupidity about PRN and ZAG, not only about JU and BEG.
