Wizz Air mandates vaccines for crew

NEWS FLASH

Low cost carrier Wizz Air will require all its flight crew to be vaccinated against Covid-19 by December, but it is yet to clarify if those who refuse face dismissal. The airline, which has local crew employed at its bases in Belgrade, Skopje, Tuzla and Sarajevo, among others, said the decision was taken on health and safety grounds in order to ensure the smooth operation of services over the long term. Wizz Air becomes the second European carrier after Swiss to take such measures - following the likes of United in the US, which is facing a backlash over its demand for all employees to be jabbed against Covid-19 by October. United has told those who refuse they face the prospect of losing their job, while Delta warned a week ago it was to charge unvaccinated staff up to $200 extra per month to cover increased health insurance costs. Wizz said that in special cases some staff would be allowed to take regular antigen or PCR tests instead. Its CEO, Jozsef Varadi, noted, "At Wizz Air, our number one priority is the health and safety of our passengers and employees. We have a responsibility to protect crew and passengers on board by mitigating the risks of Covid-19, and vaccines play a vital role in this".

Normal reaction would be strike and filling a lawsuit. I am afraid that will not gonna happen...

The "normal reaction" would be to get vaccinated without the need for mandates. For your own sake as a flight attendant, if not for others'.

Normal reaction to risk to be one of 2.5 million heavily damaged by some of four Covid "vaccines" as reported by EUDRA? Or one of 12.5 thousand dead as reported by VAERS? Or, for instance, to risk to be one of 31 thousand women (just in UK) having changes to their periods after having received a Covid "vaccine"? That would be actually stupid, not normal reaction. Normal reaction is to be very careful and to study matter thoughtfully. Obviously, most crew members are not that stupid and did they homework very well. That is exactly why "vaccines" are being imposed now.

Sorry, I can't seriously discuss with someone who thinks that 2.5 million people in the EU have been "heavily damaged" by the vaccine. Check your sources.

The word "fascism" is getting thrown around so easily these days, I wish you all would at least read the definition of the word before using it.

Normal like in Israel or UK? In Israel, if you were lucky with two Russian roulette shots you are already forced to take a chance with third one. Or your green card (rainbow colour card would sound even better!) will be valid no more. And some people call this "back to normal"!???

This mindset supporting fascism and communism (that's is the same shit anyway) is exactly what enabled a few dozen of psychopaths to impose measures destroying our basic freedoms, democracy and even whole societies with such easiness.

    2. Some people just can not understand that corona virus might not be a problem of each and every individual, but it is a fact that corona virus is a public health problem. And the death toll is NOT the problem of covid, hospitalization rate (and its lenght) is.

Well done, Wizz. Working as a flight attendant and refusing to get vaccinated is madness. As a passenger I do not want to fly planes and be served by unvaccinated staff in a sealed space.

Aren't you double vaxxed? Why worry?

      Delete
    2. Vlad15:00

Because unvaccinated people transmit the virus much more rapidly and easily than vaccinated people, and there are travellers who can't get vaccinated for medical reasons. An unvaccinated flight attendant would therefore easily qualify as a super-spreader and endanger the lives of others.

      Any other questions?

    3. Anonymous15:14

These medically exempt travellers that you are suddenly so worried about, can still get the virus from vaxxed travellers, so maybe they shouldn't be on a plane at all amidst a pandemic?

Re-vaccinated people can still get COVID, even though their death rate and hospitalization rate is much lower compared to those who are unvaccinated. However, if an unvaccinated staff member infects me, I would still need to sit at home for 2 weeks and miss out 2 important weeks in the office. I do not want to take that risk because someone who is in touch with hundreds of people every day is not willing to take the jab.

Vaccinated people can still transmit COVID. Even if your flight attendants are jabbed, you are still risking to miss 2 precious weeks in your office.

Vaccinated people can indeed still get infected and transmit COVID. You just forgot to mention that the chances for that are 100x lower vs. unvaccinated people.

    7. Anonymous16:29

That's true but the risk still stands. If i was so worried about missing 2 weeks from my job then i wouldn't really risk going on a plane.

Vaccinaton should be mandatory for everyone.
By tolerating antivaxxers politicians inflated a minor health crisis into a global breakdown.

Well sorry, but you are talking about breaching basic human rights. Only I get to decide what goes inside my body. This cannot be mandatory. If I am stupid and die from COVD that is still my decision. It is about rights.

    2. That is the main thing, with the fact that you decided not to get vaccinated, you did not decide only about yourself but about others as well. Vaccination can be mandatory (confirmed quite a few times by ECHR and by many other national constitutional courts). Your argument is exactly the same as the argument of those who claim that driving drunk should not be illegal. Exactly the same.
