NEWS FLASH
Romania’s national carrier TAROM has resumed flights between Bucharest and Belgrade following a one-month hiatus during February, which is considered the slowest in the aviation industry. The Romanian airline will maintain five weekly flights on the route with its ATR72 turboprop aircraft. It codeshares with Air Serbia on services between the two cities.
Are their fares similar to JU's on this route?
ReplyDeleteNearly the same.
DeleteI think pax prefered them to JU bcs they were using 72-600s, but now JU has them, they are being let out
ReplyDeleteAtr is a great airplane.
DeleteP2P pax preferred them before COVID as their schedule was perfect with morning/afternoon split - and having more flights offered on the route; now they backed down and JU has more flights, unfortunately last time I was checking - still neither is offering those perfect morning departures from BEG ~9am - as RO used to have before COVID...
DeleteAt some point they're going to need to start introducing some 7am regional flights such as OTP. This would improve their JFK connectivity with OTP. The region isn't really well connected with Romania either. OTP is one of the top unserved destinations from LJU and with the JU192/193 midday rotations returning, a morning schedule to OTP would really complement nicely. Not to mention the new wave of Italian departures at midday. BEG-ORD will also be split across 3 waves and a morning OTP departure would also compliment that route nicely.
DeleteThey will first have 14pw - 7 flights is the midnight wave and 7 flights in the afternoon wave. After that they can introduce some morning departures targeted on certain routes.

DeleteNot necessarily. FCO and LCA has shown this.
Tarom is the better Airline out of the two!

DeleteWhy? Any suggestions? Or you just hate JU?
DeleteRomania has its own OU, the situation is the same as in Croatia! Thieves!
