NEWS FLASH

Representatives from Skopje Airport’s operator TAV Macedonia will travel to the Czech capital next week as part of their ongoing efforts to establish a new service to the Czech capital. The operator’s General Manager, Nejat Kurt, said, “Next week, we have scheduled meetings and discussions with the Prague airport authorities. Our goal is to collaborate and also engage with tour operators to facilitate the establishment of a service between Skopje and Prague. We plan to jointly market this service with Prague's airport authorities and extend an invitation to them to visit Macedonia to help promote the country. Additionally, we will be presenting Macedonia’s tourism potential in Prague. It is a good destination and one that we are missing. We would like for these flights to be established as soon as possible and I hope that we will be successful”. Skopje was last linked with Prague through a scheduled air service in June 2018, with flights maintained by Czech Airlines. Prague is among Skopje's top ten busiest unserved routes based on indirect traffic flow.

I guess Smartwings would be the most viable option, just to avoid the dependency on Wizzy.
RyanAir I don't see happening any time soon; Eurowings would be nice for new connections to hubs in Germany (Munich, Cologne, Berlin)...

With SKP, it's always TAV in talks with carriers and airports. With LJU, it's never Fraport

TAV is all talk. 'In talks' is all they do, they never offer anything substantial.

They offer and do what they can , final decision is on the airline. Not always its about TAV , country, government, cities, agencies all them need to work, improve infrastructure, tourism, hotels, sight seenings, attact tourist , TAV is not the one that will bring tourists right ? :)) they could male the best airport , but what about the hospitality industry in the country..

Why you are surprised ? If SKP get PRG and its succesfull doesnt mean that SJJ needs this route and also will be succesfull ... SKP has a demand for this route and as its mentioned its in the top 10 unserved routes
