NEWS FLASH
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has praised Croatia Airlines for cancelling a number of flights amid the ongoing fuel crisis and rising operational costs, while questioning why Air Serbia has not taken similar measures. Asked by journalists to comment on the development, the President said, "Regarding Croatia Airlines, the management’s decision is a normal one and entirely reasonable, rational and market-oriented. Smart people. Fuel prices are high and they are cutting routes that are losing money. As for us here, I don’t know why we haven’t done the same, probably because Air Serbia has larger financial buffers and operates somewhat better than Croatia Airlines". He added that the likes of Lufthansa, KLM and Croatia Airlines are behaving according to market principles and will cancel as many flights as necessary to protect their businesses. “They won’t cancel 900 flights, but 9.000 if needed. Why should they let the company collapse while oil prices, or rather jet fuel prices, remain so high? Their job is to protect the company", Mr Vučić said.

Admin, no haha. This is going to cause an avalanche here.

DeleteIt’s crazy that he wants Air Serbia to be more like LH. I mean: noooo please no. Crazy time, crazy statements. Air Serbia should never be like OU or LH. It’s doing just fine now. Greetings from LJU.
DeleteJasmin fan base growing. He became celebrity
DeletePerhaps because high oil prices and less competition means you can profit more from the turmoil.
ReplyDeleteHow are you profiting exactly by having to spent twice as much for jet fuel?
Deleteyou increase the ticket prices
DeletePerhaps he wants to swap management - Ih dont think so.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly diplomatic.
ReplyDelete''Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has praised Croatia Airlines''
ReplyDelete-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In that case Croatia airlines doing truly bad job and bussiness! :)
Literally my thoughts. I was the one that defended them here and there, yesterday for planning to rent a new plane like AirBaltic, etc. but as this guy defends it, somethings fishy..
DeleteNow I am fully and totally proud of being so critical to OU 🙂🙂🙂
ReplyDeleteAre you OK?
DeleteNever better!!! How many times I said politics should be out of airlines. In OU and others. This is another proof OU is bad bad bad and I am right right right! I just wrote it!!!
DeletePIR is having a meltdown right now!
ReplyDeleteOnly PIR complain on OU managment
DeleteEvery single person with more than 0,2 milligrams of brains complain on management with 13 % market share, 60 % LF and 10 mil euro monthly losses. Only good Party solders, both in Croatia and Serbia, defend and advocate it. I have zero reasons for meltdown. But you do have. Both.
DeletePIR pravis zamenu teza.
DeleteWhen OU will respond. Popcorns 🍿 are ready 🤣
ReplyDeleteIs this a veiled order to Marek to minimize expected loses from higher kerosene costs by cutting planned capacity?
ReplyDeleteI think the main point is in following sentence what he actually wated to emphasize:
Delete"...probably because Air Serbia has larger financial buffers and operates somewhat better than Croatia Airlines"."
Could be, this is the Balkans were politicians think that they are experts on everything.
DeleteAhahhahahahahha, what about experts on forums including analiticar
DeleteThey don;t hold any political power. The President on the other hand...
Delete4000IQ here, praise the OU doing a bad job so it goes belly up, and then take over the OU market share with their own airline!!! :DDD
ReplyDeleteno thanks we have Ryan and soon Wizz.
DeleteOne more proof that OU doing good and the best. Jasmin the Lion efforts are recognized even in neighbor countries. More fan base for Jasmin from whole Balkan area.
ReplyDeleteJasmin for President of Ex-Yugoslavia. We all deserve it!!! 😂😂😂
DeleteMe above
Deleteno, PIR please no :D
DeleteHe said just the truth others dont want to see.
ReplyDeleteБраво Хрватска!
ReplyDelete😅
DeleteBravo OU
ReplyDeleteWe wait Jasmin to write here his opinion. Fans are waiting
ReplyDeleteHe is waiting for the written text with opinion to come from Central Comitee. Sorry, Središnjica
Deletehahahaha they are done now
ReplyDeleteActually when Croatian autocrat AP hears Serbian autocrat AV is praising OU and Jasmin, maybe he finally replace him. Maybe AV will help OU this time 😂😂😂
DeleteI dont think so. It is big compliment for them
DeleteIf he wanted to send that message to Air Serbia, he could have done it in discrete, non-public ways. But he didn't.
ReplyDeleteThis public messaging is most likely a preemptive move to silence critics once Air Serbia also inevitably starts reducing number of flights. With this message, he can say "told you so, LH, KL and even OU is doing the same, so don't attack Air Serbia for doing the same"
Very stupid comment IMHO.
DeleteI have no doubt Air Serbia will announce reductions in the next week or two. Also no doubt there will be harsh comments, to put it mildly, once announcement is made. Solid move to distribute this update, in a form of praise for competition, ahead of time.
DeleteIf I were Croatia Airlines management, I'd be worried that a guy with 0 days of any work experience who never made a true statement in his life is praising my company's decision.
ReplyDeleteyet he praised Ryan when they came to Nis, etc. did they fail? No, so neither will OU.
DeleteThe Croatian Airlines might go the same way as Slovenian Adria or Hungarian Malev went. Bankrupt.
ReplyDeleteVery likely...At one point some Croatian goverment will realise this national pride just costs way too much. Actually recreating some form of JAT makes a lot of market sense...but there is too much politics involved.
