Slovenia has reissued operating permits to Israir, allowing the airline to restore its seasonal service between Tel Aviv and Ljubljana. The move comes just a week after the carrier’s permit was revoked by the outgoing Slovenian administration amid political disagreements with Israel. A new government has since been sworn in. Slovenia’s new Minister for Infrastructure and Energy, Jernej Vrtovec, said, “As announced, I acted immediately upon assuming office. The airline Israir has once again been granted authorisation to operate flights between Tel Aviv and Ljubljana”. From tomorrow, the carrier will be permitted to run up to three weekly flights between the two cities, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
