The Lithuanian-based Avia Solutions Group has been shortlisted as a favourite for the purchase of Adria Airways Tehnika. Avia Solutions recently upped its bid for a 100% stake in the Slovenian maintenance company. Avia Solutions Group has more than twenty subsidiaries globally, providing comprehensive aviation business solutions. The group integrates MRO services, pilot and crew training, aviation staff leasing, ground handling and aircraft fueling, aircraft management, business charters, as well as airport management services. It has over 1.800 employees at forty locations across the world. In 2010, Adria Airways sold its 100% stake in Adria Tehnika to the operator of Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (46.7%) and the state-owned financial holding company PDP (52.3%). No time-frame has been set for the sale of the company, but its privatisation is expected to be finalised soon.
