| Limitless Airways to launch flights on May 1 |
Croatian start-up airline, Limitless Airways, has taken delivery of its first aircraft, an Airbus A320, which arrived in Zagreb on Thursday. The jet, which will carry the registration 9A-SLA, arrived from Subang Airport in Malaysia via Al Anin in the United Arab Emirates. Ultimately, its destination will be Rijeka where Limitless will be based. The jet is seventeen years old and previously operated for China Eastern Airlines, before it was stored in October last year. It is owned by leasing company GECAS. The airline plans to lease a second Airbus A320 for its operations this summer. Limitless Airways has been registered in Croatia and has already advertised for several job vacancies including cabin crew positions.
Limitless Airways initially planned to launch operations from Zadar but has moved its base to Rijeka. This summer it will run a range of seasonal flights to Scandinavia on behalf of tour operator Scandjet. Furthermore, the airline will operate a series of charters to Denmark and Finland as well as flights between Mostar and Gothenburg. Over 25.000 passengers are expected to fly with the airline this summer. In preparation for the new carrier, Rijeka Airport is undertaking the biggest overhaul of its passenger terminal since opening its doors in 1970. Work is expected to be completed this month. Furthermore, Rijeka Airport is considering building a hangar in cooperation with Limitless Airways so maintenance work can be carried out at the airline’s base.
The start-up is expected to operate its first flights on May 1, from Rijeka to Angelholm and Kristianstad in Sweden. Several new airlines, to be registered in Croatia, have announced plans to launch flights from the country this summer. One of them is newcomer Sea Air, which is to be based in Osijek. It plans to begin scheduled flights next month with two aircraft. The full-service airline will operate with a Boeing 737-300 and B737-500 to Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna. Ticket sales will begin in mid-March when the airline launches its webpage. Sea Air will operate daily flights to Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna and offer complementary meals, twenty kilograms of free checked-in baggage and a free shuttle bus service between Osijek city centre and the airport. Furthermore, Croatian ferry company, Blue Line International, is considering creating an airline subsidiary with two turboprop aircraft, however, no firm timeframe has been given for its launch. It is said to be eyeing services to Rome, Zurich, Vienna, Munich and Frankfurt and will operate on a low cost basis.

Good for Rijeka, that's for sure. It's a shame they will not operate from other Croatian airports. The country is in a desperate need of a decent charter airline!
Will this base have an impact on Pula which is right next door?

Ni reč o novoj pisti, terminalu i hotelu. Verovatno samo malo proširenje C i renoviranje starog A dela. Tragična kratkovidost!
Start an airline in Croatia with base on Croatias coast that have a season of max 3 months
I am more nervous about Express airways that aims to launch several lines to Split and Brač. I would really like that they make pretty god results, but I am not so sure whether they will take off or not.
From tomorrow on sale tickets for London - Ohrid with Wizz, first flight 14 June(Sunday)
And Scandjet is a tour operator selling packages and not an airline
Old JU management couldn't even organise a decent summer season, they are completely useless.
Ove cene za Osmi mart se ne mogu nazvati previse 'promotivnim'
This in bankruptcy before they even start and i agree with above that the names choosen are worse then their business idea.

u're talking nonsense, Season in Croatia lasts from late april to late October, with high season being late May to late September, also its a charter airline, operates on seasonal flights with seasonal charters be it in summer of winters. also A320 in question is 17 years old, so lease was affordable, around $2 million, I am sure investors knew what they're doing.
as everybody who works in the tourism industry knows the so called spica sezona is august and last week in july and that is 5 weeks at its best
p.s. Ovo vazi i za anon at 6:55 PM...
MM
Again talking nonsense, Croatia had 13.7 million tourist in 2014, 13.7 million, do you really think all of them came in 6 weeks of July and August ?

Statistics just for you, so you can debate with Croatian HTZ and DZS and ministry of Tourism and Transport.
U have some strange notions of what Croatia has and is, clearly never been to Croatia. Sure there are periods like last year when season had bad july, but June and May were way above record with 8% yoy growth, so first 2 weeks of July didn't really impacted overall tourist arrival and numbers, this year has also started strong with 7% growth across, with Zagreb registering 15% growth first two months of last year.
Read before you start to yap about how bad situation is, cause clearly you don't know much about Croatia.
I think everybody has to agree that ASL is doing drastic dumping, but at the same time again they have the right. Hopefully things will sort out in future.
Hvala unapred :)

Jat survived for all those years because of chronic government subventions. The airlines was sinking deeper and deeper into the abyss all thanks to its wonderful, disillusioned employees.
