Air Serbia - Air Berlin expand US codeshare

NEWS FLASH

Air Serbia has expanded its codeshare agreement with Air Berlin by adding a further two destinations in the United States, for a total of seven. The airline has placed its JU designator code on eight weekly flights between Dusseldorf and Los Angeles and five weekly services between Dusseldorf and Fort Myers operated by Air Berlin, in addition to codesharing on the German airline's flights to Chicago, Boston, New York, Miami and San Francisco. Through this codeshare expansion, Air Serbia and Air Berlin now offer 54 weekly flights between Serbia and the United States over Germany. Air Serbia's CEO, Dane Kondić, said, “Through our codeshare agreement with Air Berlin, Air Serbia’s route network now spans from the West to the East Coast, providing business and leisure travellers with easy one-stop connections to seven major points in the United States”. Air Serbia codeshares with over a dozen airlines including Air Seychelles, Etihad Airways, Etihad Regional, Adria Airways, Aegean Airlines, Air Europa, Air China, Alitalia, Air France, Bulgaria Air, KLM, Air Baltic, LOT Polish Airlines, TAROM, Aeroflot and El Al.

Why do you think these figures should be revealed to you?

Please do not reveal numbers. Large number of Serbian citizens owns luxury real estate in Naples FL and 2h drive from existing Air Serbia codeshare destination MIA is much worse than 45 min drive from Ft Myers.

Seriously I don't understand who are Air Berlin customers to that destination. Air Serbia customers must be real rarity in that area.

Would it matter even if it was 0?
More acknowledgment through more destinations is better.
Is there a cost to codeshare? Significant, if there is one?

Codeshares with some other airline to Toronto, Washington, Vancouver and Montreal would bring more passengers and money.
