NEWS FLASH

Etihad Airways Partners (EAP) has aligned frequent flyer benefits across the group’s eight equity stake airlines – Air Serbia, Air Berlin, Air Seychelles, Alitalia, Etihad Airways, Etihad Regional, Jet Airways and Niki. The changes cover priority check-in and boarding, lounge access, baggage allowances and tier bonus miles. “EAP partner airlines have taken key steps to align their products. For instance, all offer fully flat beds in business class on long haul flights. Now, we want to provide further enhancements and, by aligning services such as tier benefits, we can ensure that our most loyal guests experience the same service on each of the partner airlines”, EAP CEO, Bruno Matheu, said. The group also holds a stake in Virgin Australia, although the airline is not listed as being an EAP member.

For us at BEG it's pretty much only JU that makes sense. Very weak coverage with other partners except AZ and EY. Even the two see a lot of competition for transfer passengers at their hubs, AZ less so than EY.
