NEWS FLASH

Rijeka Airport has initiated the Fly Croatia project which aims to bring together smaller airports and airfields across the country to work together to boost passenger numbers. Apart from Rijeka, the airfields in Sinj, Osijek-Čepin and Otočac have also signed on. The project looks into ways to transfer passengers from the country's larger airports to more isolated parts of the country which are served by small airfields that can handle only general aviation aircraft. Fly Croatia ultimately hopes to bring together some twenty smaller airfields around the nation, which could also lead to investment into their airport infrastructure.
